About Us
We are located on 18 acres at Alton Downs, approximately 18 kms past the Rockhampton Airport along Ridgelands Road. Our open spaces and selected shade trees provide a comfortable home away from home for your pet.
Alton Downs Boarding Kennels & Cattery is run by a husband and wife team, our names are John and Erin, and we welcome your special friend. We are very much ‘hands on’ in our approach to all our animals, and as our motto says - “Where love, affection & passion for animals grows”.

Does your animal require that ‘something special’?
If so we welcome the opportunity to discuss these requirements with you and endeavour to accommodate your pet’s needs.We appreciate that your pets are part of the family. Our commitment is to provide a safe, clean, comfortable and happy environment for them whilst they are with us.
Our Crematorium is fully licensed by the Department of Environment and Heritage. We are the only ones who handle your pet and guarantee that you receive your own pet's ashes. We understand the terrible sense of loss experiencedby those who have lost a pet and are committed to assisting pet lovers during this time of grief, with the proper care of their pets.
